What you’ll need
Your racket
A Grippit overgrip
Scissors
The finishing tape (in the pack)
The four steps
Wrap it like a pro.

Always wrap upwards in an anti-clockwise direction, keeping the overlap even as you climb.
1
Prepare the grip
Remove the finishing tape and set it aside. Unroll the grip and find the tapered end, then peel away the paper backing and plastic film to expose the adhesive strip.
2
Start at the base
Place the adhesive end on the very bottom of the handle, angled slightly upwards (about 10–15°) so the grip climbs neatly without gaps.
3
Wrap the handle
Pull firmly for a snug fit and wrap upwards, anti-clockwise. Overlap each turn just enough to avoid gaps, peeling away the protective film as you go.
4
Finish the job
Trim any extra at the top with scissors at a 30–45° angle, then seal it tightly with the finishing tape for a clean, secure finish.
Get it perfect
Pro tips.
Keep the overlap even
Aim for a consistent overlap on every turn. Even spacing gives a smooth, lump-free handle and the best feel in the hand.
Pull firm, not tight
Steady tension keeps the grip flat against the handle. Too tight and it can stretch thin or twist — let the tack do the work.
Replace when the tack fades
When the grip stops feeling sticky or starts to wear, it’s time for a fresh one. Regular players often refresh every few weeks.
