How can we help?

Shipping & delivery

Rates, timelines & missing packages

We dispatch within 1–2 working days. Delivery to South African main centres usually takes 2–4 working days, and 3–6 working days to outlying or regional areas. You’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.

This is dependent on your delivery location.

Right now we ship within South Africa only. We’re working on cross-border options — follow @grippit.sa to hear first.

Open My Account → Orders to see live status, or use the tracking link in your dispatch email.

First check your tracking link for the latest scan. If it’s stalled or marked delivered but you don’t have it, email howzit@grippit.co.za or WhatsApp +27 61 580 4579 with your order number and we’ll chase the courier for you.

Orders & payments

Payment methods, VAT & changing an order

We accept major credit & debit cards and instant EFT through our secure checkout. All payments are encrypted and processed by our payment provider.

Shipping is added separately and shown before you confirm.

If your order hasn’t shipped yet we can usually help — email howzit@grippit.co.za with your order number as soon as possible. Orders with a pending payment can also be settled or cancelled under My Account → Orders.

Yes — payments run over an encrypted connection and we don’t store your full card details. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.

Returns & exchanges

Policy, faulty items & refund timelines

Because grips are personal-use sports accessories, we can’t accept returns on anything that’s been opened, used or fitted — for hygiene and quality reasons. A return may be considered if the product is unused and in its original, unopened packaging, or if it arrived faulty, damaged or incorrect. Proof of purchase is required.

We’ll sort it. Email howzit@grippit.co.za as soon as possible with:

  • A short description of the issue
  • Your order number
  • A clear photo of the product
  • A photo of the packaging, if relevant

Once confirmed, we’ll offer a suitable remedy — replacement, refund or other resolution — in line with consumer protection laws.

Refunds are issued once the returned product has been received and inspected. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method where possible — allow a little processing time depending on your bank.

For an approved return of a non-defective product, return shipping may be for the customer’s account where permitted by law. If the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied by us, we’ll assist with the return process. Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a fault on our side.

Products bought on sale, promotion, bundle or discount can’t be returned or refunded unless they’re faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Products & care

Specs, fitting & keeping your grip tacky

Yes — Grippit is a replacement overgrip designed for both padel and tennis racket handles. It wraps over your existing handle for an anti-slip, tacky feel.

It’s a thin 0.6 mm wrap — enough for semi-cushioned comfort and a tacky, anti-slip feel without bulking up the handle.

It takes about a minute:

  • Find the tapered end and peel off the paper backing and plastic film.
  • Wrap firmly upwards in an anti-clockwise direction, overlapping each turn slightly and keeping the overlap even.
  • Trim any extra at the top at a 30–45° angle.
  • Use the finishing tape to seal the grip neatly around the top.

See the full How to fit guide for photos.

It depends how often and how hard you play. As a rule, replace your overgrip when the tacky feel fades or it starts to wear — regular players often refresh it every few weeks.

Wipe the grip down after sweaty sessions and let your racket air-dry — don’t store it damp in a hot car boot. The tacky compound is built to perform in sweaty conditions, but a clean, dry grip keeps that feel longer.
